I swear I'm not a heroine addict, it's that I'm going on this trip...

Feelin' normal
We're really going to be leaving. Feelin' normal
More and more it's feeling real and we're taking actual steps to transition from every day life in Chicago to living out of our backpacks in Central America.
The biggest physical difference lately has been that we've both gotten shot in the arm over 9 times with a salad bar of vaccines to protect us from everything from getting bitten by a bug to a rabid dog to that tetnus filled metal thing we might step on or ingest (kyle will eat anything). Yellow fever has been the big whopper so far. That nasty shot burned going in, and there's a national shortage of that painful fella, so they get the live vaccine in bulk (think costco, but for vaccines), and because the container has enough for five shots, they book five people to come in at once. if you don't show, you get charged $140 for that missed ticket to paradise. It's common that people experience side effects after getting the yellow fever vaccine since your body is fighting the live nasties inside you. Kyle didn't seem to have any problems, the lucky fella, I however had a fever,
sneezes, and a runny nose that would rival my nephew.
