I love birthdays. I love everything about being around the people you love and celebrating nothing else than it's the day you were born. And there's cake. I love cake, too.

Bessie's cake!
That's my piece!

Having spent my past 2 birthdays out of the country in Japan and El Salvador, I'm reveling in being being home for this one. My brothers and I all have birthdays in the same 2 week time, and it's been a long time since we've all celebrated together. Today my jam-packed birthday fun day started with breakfast with my dad & stepmom, and will continue with tea with my mom, pie with my Poppa & stepdad, and Mexican at a byob with some of my closest friends. With more cake.
