I'm not one that can easily laze around, but Huanchaco, Peru sort of inspires a person to do just that. It's a little fisherman village where the sun rises and sets every day, and that's some of the biggest excitement you'll encounter. Here are some highlights:

cool balsa wood sort of fishing boats are like kayaks

photo prop pony falling asleep on the beach - I watched his eyes and head slowly droop, I think he drooled too

the beach is a pretty nice spot for a run
Without my man by my side I get considerably more attention from the men, but the ignoring technique works pretty well. I was walking on the beach one afternoon when a bold young guy came up to me, and struck up a conversation. He was pretty persistent despite my blowing him off, and after I explained to him all about Kyle he ended up being worth the interruption. I say worth the interruption because he gave me the 2 surefire ways to blow off a Peruvian guy trying to pick you up:
1. tell him you're a lesbian
2. tell him "Tengo la bicicleta", slang for I have diarrea.
Aside from reading Harry Potter, my big excitement has been our two Dutch friends that for the past 2 months have ended up in the same town as us at least 6 times. They're a cooky fun pair that shares my love for playing Rummy, and it's nice to have a couple of other blondes around that also stick out.

They're gonna kill me for putting these on there, but it's payback for pictures the posted of Kyle and me...
Overall, it's been a great spot to chilllllll for a few days and appreciate the small things in life.

We're silly and adventurous, computer geeks and yoga peeps.
