Feelin' normal
Without a camera, the Monestary of Santa Catalina is not that exciting. With a camera, the opportunities abound for some fun photo taking. Enjoy!Feelin' normal

Yeah, now we know where Windows got the pictures. That's all I was thinking when we uploaded them. The orange wall with the tree against it is our new desktop photo, and I sort of feel like we're cheating on our Mac by using a "Windows" pic.
Looks like a calender!
Just send me 30 bucks in a self addressed stamped envelope and I'll make you one :)
I love all the bright colors. Are those geraniums? So pretty and plain are the pictures. It was great to see you Kyle. I'm sure Bessie was glad to see you. We always look forward to seeing where you are next.
Shawna & Gary
Doesn't it almost inspire you to repaint your house wild colors? Maybe not, Gary might not dig that. They are geraniums, just like at home. It was nice to have Kyle back, but I don't mind sharing every so often. :)
Where are all of the people who painted the bright colors and live inside of them? !
It's a really big monastery, and to make up for slow cash flow from the Catholic church they charge tourists a whopping $10 to get in. Most of it is on display with old furniture and stuff, but part of the monastary is closed to the public and about 80 nuns live there.
Not sure if the nuns have such colorful walls back in their living quarters though - would clash with their black and white motif.
A picture is worth a thousand words. GORGEOUS photography!
Wonderful pictures. You should definitely consider photojournalism as an employment opportunity. Thanks for sharing. By the way, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Kyle and I almost comically pass the camera back and forth taking shots, and take so many we delete about half of them that don't make our cut. Kate would pretty much continuously make fun of us for it.
I will take credit for all the best photos, of course.
This place and its history is phenomenal, I met it on the tour I took for Arequipa and Colca. I was there for its anniversary and I enjoyed the spectacle of fireworks and the activities that were prepared for the event. This is one of the places I liked most about this city. If you want to know it, I recommend using a travel agency; I did it and hire TurPeru. If you want more information its website is www.turperu.com.pe
it's definitely a beautiful place. Thanks for the agency recommendation. Happy Travels. :)
these photos are cool, they kinda look like one of the default photos for Windows lol
