Sorry, I had to; it's infectious when you're surrounded by teenage, drunken, frat boys and sorrority girls and large banners from beer companies proclaiming "Welcome Spring Breakers". Ok, not all ALL the students are like that as I did see a group of pale engineering students ("dude, we're going to go to Acapulco and meet some drunk girls...and play video games with them") hanging out in a corner of the pool. But you get the point.
There is, however, a good side to this. Since there are so many young people frolicking about, we, being kind of young still, were able to blend in with the crowd and get into the pool at Hyatt (which is infinately better than the $30 a night place we are staying in). Admittedly, I look like a creepy, bearded grad student trying to mingle with teenagers, but, whatever, no one really blinked at our presence there. Besides, who can resist going to places like this for free?

The other benifit of being near the Spring Breakers is over hearing things such as:
Random Guy: "The party's at Señor Frogs!"
Girl 1: "I saw you talking to him before you made out with him."
Girl 2: "Uh uh, no I wasn't!!"
Girl 1: "Girl, you were to!"
Girl 2: "No!"
Girl A (showing pictures on her phone): "And this is [so-and-so], and we did [something]. Ooo...look at this photo..."
Girl B: "I don't remember any of that night."
So, yes, we are now the married couple who hangs out near the college kids just so we can overhear their lives and laugh about it. That's perfectly normal, right?

We're silly and adventurous, computer geeks and yoga peeps.

OK, I don't think I can pull that off. Have some tequila for your sister while you're there. At least if YOU drink it, maybe it won't get ME into so much trouble. :)
