My Kindergarteners!

Feelin' normal
I spend 25 hours a week with these little cuties! I teach them English through subjects like Phonics, Math, Story Telling, and Dictionary. They take a lot of patience sometimes, but they're really great. They all use English names like Sarah and Harry.Feelin' normal

After lunch the kids have about 10 minutes of play time. We go to the playground once or twice a week, and other times we stay in the room. They love playing this game called Musical, where they set up a stage, and 2 people "perform", while the audience watches. Adorable, right!?
Lunchtime!
They all have these cute little lunch dishes with a lid & a spoon & chopsticks pack! Most of the chopsticks are Hello Kitty brand. :) I was pretty impressed the first time to see them using chopsticks - they're 5!

I serve them lunch & eat with them. They're only allowed to speak English in front of me, which is pretty hard during lunch, so we usually listen to amazing music like Baa Baa Black Sheep.
For some reason they all laugh & hide their faces when I take pictures, but I did get one of the great smiles I usually get.

I'm really lucky that I have such a small and well-behaved class. Every class is named a virtue-ish sort of word like Courage & Happiness, and my class is Pleasant, and they're definitely well named.

I know! Aren't the uniforms adorable!! They all wear ties - how cute is that!?!
These are a few of my favorite things: pink walls, animal wallpaper, pink doors and bulletin boards, gray suits, Chinese food, green carrying bags, adjustable activity tables, playing musical games, neat little artworks on the bulletin board and Spring is in the air! May you be inspired and blessed in all of your efforts in teaching... WE LOVE YOU!
How lucky you are to be in the company of those precious little ones! When you read stories to them, do you "do all the voices?" LOL And I hope they remember you with affection when they are older. :) I know you will remember THEM.
oh I definitely do the voices, and I say things in a funny way so that they like to repeat after me. Their voices are so cute, it's too much fun not to!
How nice to have a class called Pleasant!! I'd probably still be teaching if my 5th graders could have honestly been called "pleasant." I'd often have several pleasant children, but a whole class of 25 to 30...NOT!! I'm assuming that this group has a different teacher some of the day for things like math. Love the lunch containers.... if supplied by the school... what a great idea! Food looks good too...not just pizza, tacos, chicken fingers, and macaroni as we are used to seeing in American school cafeterias.
I teach them math, and the subjects I mentioned. I have a 30-60 minute break with them everyday when they go to a Korean teacher for Tai Kwon Do, Music, and Leadership. Otherwise I teach the rest.
Lunch food is pretty delicious! We've had yummy tofu, egg dishes, fish, etc., always with rice, soup & kimchee (pickled cabbage). I'm happy to eat with them - it's pretty nice because I don't pay for the lunch!
The children are all so beautiful and look like they are a lot of fun to be with. I don't think I've ever seen such professional looking uniforms - amazing! I now know why our stores in Chinatown in downtown Toronto are full of "Hello Kitty" brand merchandise. I never realized how popular the brand was overseas. Keep up the good work!
Pretty incredible, right? Even high school students here wear jackets & even ties sometimes.
They're still somewhat messy kindergartners - they definitely spill their soup & end up pulling the buttons loose. They're adorable though!
Look at those sweeties! Love the uniforms and barrettes!
