My Kind of Church Visit

When we found out we could climb to the highest steeple of the tallest church in Colombia, we thought, alright, let's do it!

True to form in Manizales, we had a super friendly guide about our age that had spent a year in Conneticut.  He took us up the 350 steps of the church, and even took like 10 pictures of us with all the best angles of the church.

Then the cooky guy stood up on a railing to get just the right angle of us.  He was so funny climbing around like a squirrel, that i had to take this picture of him.

It was funny to see so much modern metal in a super old church.  I was happy to have it though, at 350 feet up in the air, I'd take any security things I could get.  Here are some of the views over Manizales.

  W O W ! Great photos! (and I'm dizzy! LOL) Sure sounds like The People of Manizales have extended a royal welcome to you and Kyle! That's a lovely reward for being such appreciative visitors! And your young guide's railing pic is cool! Whoa! Memory Bank! '60's song: "I'm so dizzy, my head is spinning. Like a whirlpool, it never ends..." Geez... I can't be THAT old... hahahaha

  I think you meant "kookie" or "kooky" guy as opposed to cooky guy! I kept looking for the oreos or chocolate chips! Great photos....glad you are not acrophobic like me!

  Oh, I was a bit nervous climbing those steps, but in the end I won, and I'm safely on the ground to tell the story. :)
