Bessie & Kyle: global nomads in search of adventure. From Dream to Reality.
The day we met, Kyle asked me to go with Puerto Rico with him. I knew we were meant to be. In a few years time, we started some major traveling savings, got married, and in Jan 2008, took off with one-way tickets to Guatemala.
We thought we were only leaving for a year. We traveled from Mexico to Argentina, 14 countries, 1,000+ hours spent volunteering. As our travel fund dwindled, we felt a fork in the road. To travel or not to travel? We chose Korea. We spent a year teaching English, started our meaningful gifts site and saved up a small fortune to keep traveling.
We're still in Asia, continuing our dream on our own path. Where will we go next?

We're not what you'd call average.
More About Bessie
I believe in passions: finding what you love, and doing it. For me that's wandering the world, yoga, biking, photography, singing to myself, playing Settlers of Catan, and connecting with people. Check out my list of 29 Things to do Before I Turn 29.
I'm a non-profit girl that understands the value of giving selflessly and giving lots of hugs. My heart is back in Chicago, but the rest of me lives out in the world, in search of adventure.
More About Kyle
Apart from being a computer programmer and blogger (he built this site from scratch), he is also an English teacher, Spanish speaker, bass player, runner, and colonizer of Mars. (One of those isn't true...guess which one) In other words, he's interested in a lot of things and tries not to be a one trick pony. In fact, he tries not to be any kind of farm animal, preferring to be a semi-intelligent human being instead.
He also likes talking about himself in third person because it doesn't seem so vain.
